Ian started rehearsing for Shakespeare and Rock'N'Roll on July 12, 1994 just two days after graduating from the Welsh College of Music and Drama. The first year Ian was Swing for three roles: Lieutenant, Navigation Officer and Cookie. The second year Ian was made first cast Cookie.
In total Ian played over 700 shows in the Freie Volksbühne Theater and marked the start of his stage career in Germany which continues today.
